Longtime friend of legendary guitarist and
innovator Les Paul, and his bandmate in the Les Paul trio, Lou Pallo
logged countless hours of gig time with Paul over 26 years, and
performed side by side with the legend as they thrilled crowds during
their weekly shows at the Iridium club in New York City year after year.
In honor of his longstanding friendship with the Gibson icon, Lou Pallo
has now been honored with a signature model of his own—a Les Paul, of
course, but one made to the specs and appearance of this great jazz
artist's own preference.
Blending features of the Les Paul Standard and Les Paul Custom, the Gibson USA Lou Pallo Signature Les Paul has a sleek Ebony Black finish with Natural back and sides and pearloid block inlays (including "Lou Pallo" signature inlay at the 12th fret), but carries a carved maple top on its mahogany body, a rosewood fingerboard, and chrome-plated hardware. Les Paul tones from vintage to modern are available via Lou's choice of one P-90 single-coil pickup in the neck position, and one Gibson Dirty Fingers humbucker in the bridge position, routed through the traditional controls.
Blending elegance and functionality in a unique yet familiar package, the Lou Pallo Signature Les Paul is a classy instrument dedicated to a class act, and a fitting tribute to one of Les Paul's closest musical collaborators.
