[From bar 1] Make
sure you really pay attention to the phrasing of the oddly metered
bars. For 7/4 you can hear it being split into 4 and 3. Playing cleanly
is the name of the game here.
[From bar 8] Be
careful here - you want to get the syncopated phrases in time
throughout. The repeated double-stop phrase in bars 12 and 19 gives a
Lydian sound due to the E (#4 interval) over the Bb chord.
[Bars 35 and 37] This
phrase has quite a wide stretch. It's just a D minor pentatonic phrase,
but by dipping into two diferent shapes (shapes 1 and 2), it sounds
diferent to a lot of other pentatonic phrases you're likely to hear in
blues and rock.
